Research Projects

Research at the chair focuses on the documentation and description of languages that we don't know very much about yet. Our work is often comparative and always highly empirical. The collection and indexing of primary data and the creation of corpora are essential for our work.

The development of theories focuses on phenomena from morphology, syntax, semantics and lexicology, but the interface with phonology also often plays a role.
